Drag-Drop Text from Another Application
I know this sounds like a repetitive post since there is other postings regarding drag-drop, but I couldn't find one that specifically addressed this issue.I know that I can drag-drop text within opera but is there any way to drag-drop text into opera text fields (i.e. Address Bar, Google Search box, ...) from another application/window? For example, how can I enable dragging text from Microsoft word (or another text editor) into opera address field?
This kind of functionality works in IE and Firefox but not in opera.
Right now i installed new OperaPortable12 and installed on Windows32 (XP).
I need to drag a URL (as text or as .url file) from another application to add it as new TAB - like in Firefox. Opera shows some signs on the drop place, but when i loose mouse button, happens nothing. I think there is a bug. Even inside Opera happens the same.
I miss too a option on right mouse to open the selected text as URL in new window.

What? A joke? I see you absolutely not understand what i'm writing. Maybe my english is poor.
1) I wrote about drag & drop a tab (drag a tab) or URL object (drag icon form adressbar) or text (drag selected text in adressbar) from Firefox to Opera tabbar.
2) Inside Opera i wrote about a text link without a Anchor HTML tag - you can not mouse click on it - you can only select it as text an drag it.

Select it as text and use the context menu (that's where Shift comes in, when clicking on the menu), or even double-click.
I don't have Firefox installed and can't comment about that, but selected text in Opera does have a menu that includes "Open web address". And in Opera when you do some option to open anything, holding Shift will make it open in a new (foreground) tab (or hold Ctrl instead to open behind the current tab).

ad 2) OK, i see, right mouse option is there - no "Open web adress" but "Go to web address".
3) But main question is mouse drag-drop to Opera tab bar. Why Opera fakes working (shows little vertical line with arrows) but does nothing? When i carry object, that Opera is unable to drop, Opera should change mouse cursor to "disabled".
ad1) so i now test IE8 and WinXP behavior.
- drop *.url file from Windows Explorer - this works fine.
- drop local-file-shortcut-icon from IE8 works fine.
- drop URL-icon from IE8 works not -see 3)
- drag some URL as text works not - see 3).
So do what i need - simple and fast mouse drag&drop many tabs one by one from FF or IE to Opera without activating Opera window - is impossible.
