Opera Sells Out to Facebook?
Ok the writings on "the wall" right? Is Opera throwing in the towel for anti privacy agitator Facebook?
If Opera is eaten by Facebook, will you continue to use Opera?
If so, there goes privacy . We all know that Opera cant grow itself, its obvious. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_web_browsers
Opera has a propensity to create new and revolutionary ideas, without the insight or ability to patent, and defend its ideas.
(tabbed browsing, pop up blocker, content blocker, custom search, speed dial, side bar, tab management, etc.)
Here's the signs that Opera throws in the towel:
Opera buys AdMarvel to monetize advertising, of which Facebook is all about.
Opera buys Mobile Theory & 4th Screen to monetize advertising, of which Facebook is all about.
Opera kills Unite (file sharing), Facebook has Pipe.
Opera kills IRC, of which Facebook already has IRC.
Facebooks reduced IPO forecast due to challenge in mobile market, of which Opera has a stronghold (however, mobile Safari is eating into significantly, and without a direct hook, Opera mini can never be default iOS browser).
The US holds 2nd most shareholders of Opera currently. Time to watch Opera's stock jump.

I highly doubt that, but I might be wrong. I've been using Opera since 2003 and I always trusted it. I don't think selling out to Facebook would be a good decision...
On the good side facebook could provide opera development with all the funding needs.(Google threw away $47k for finding 14 bugs in chrome. No doubt why chromes at the top)
On the other side facebook could use opera for its own personal gains.that means opera lose its loyal fans

Opera 12 (The Internet awaits the wake of the legend)
I hope it's not true.

Although FB has some uses, there is pure poison in its core.
