I had this happen earlier today, but only discovered it after I had clicked the halt/reload button and re-attempted to post, which didn't get acknowledged either (eventually I got the 502 error). But when I went directly to the forum thread I was trying to post into, the result was a double post. Then the challenge was to delete the duplicate post... again, after clicking 'delete', there was a very long delay and the 502 message. But, speedy learner that I am after being hit on the head with a hammer, I again went directly to the thread and found the duplicate had indeed been deleted. So... patience and double-checking is the 'posting' order of the day, for a while at least.
We're still getting hit by a DDoS attack, which can occasionally make the pages slower than usual. The attack comes in waves, and at times the servers need some extra time to respond to all the requests. It should be mostly fine, but unfortunately not as snappy as it should be.
