Design Your Own Government

There's lots of chatter in D&D about government and politics, but no clear expression of what an "ideal" system would entail.

Here's your chance to draw a detailed picture of what a government ought to look like, what it should do, what it shouldn't do.

Political parties?

Military?

Economic policy?

Education?

Nanny statism?

And my favorite, Care and feeding of the elderly? (hint, hint...I'm an old fart)

Etc, etc, etc.

That's not much of a recommendation. McD's is only rumored to sell food. Independent tests fail to confirm these rumors.

Side note: I gave up the carbonated drinks some time back. Too much sweetener, too much gas, and most of them seem too acidic for my taste these days.
Next time a stranger talks to me
when I'm alone, I will look at them
shocked and just whisper quietly

"You can see me?"

In America that is worse than horror films or murder.

I will not try to design my own government. But one topic that was mentioned in Putin thread puzzled me: whether there are states in modern world in which power is not represented by one person - President, King/Queen, Gensek, etc.

And, I have found this weird state: tiny state San Marino is ruled by 2 Captains Regents. This model is similar to ruling system of Roman Republic.

Just another excuse to bodyswerve what goes on in the land of freedom and rights baloney. The 1950's was time for us over here to look and laugh although it was serious for thos trying to pracice the Consitutional rights stuff. Anti-Communists purges, witch hunts, people persecuted at length. McCarthyism was disgusting but very widely supported I would remind you if it doesn't damage your rare grey cells. All this in a supposed land of freedom and rights. And then you had Stae Governors practising fascism by their segreagtion laws and stuff. Seems that politics in the ex-colonies is a kindergarten proccess for so many. Panic buttons comes to mind. Whereas here in the land of the mother of parliaments we even had a very rare and odd Communist MP sitting in parliament. Methinks a bit more politcal depth here thanovr there. You just have the wtch the Presidential Elections and "Party" congress carnivals to see you haven't grown up in the political world yet!
