Favicons became very small
Hello, community! After a recent update of Opera (the current version I'm running is Version 12.00 beta Build 1387, OS: Mac OS X 10.7.4) when I open a lot of tabs the favicons are becoming very tiny that they can barely be recognized).
Right click on the image --> Open Image to see full-sized image.

How can I fix this and make them as big as possible?
Hope I posted in the right section.
Thanks in advance!

Oh, thank you!
I'm sorry, I didn't realize the post goes here, since despite the fact that the version is indeed beta I got it through regular Check for Updates feature.

Yep, there are many of them, but the point is that in the last version the favicons aren't that small.
The problem seems to be the close button, its like it is still there, even if the tab is not selected (you know, when you selected a tab, the close button shows and the favicon would dissapear if the tab numbers are big, but the unselected tabs don't show the close button).
My temporary (perhaps) solution was remove the close button and, instead, choose close the tabs with a double click.
(My Opera is in spanish so, dunno if this is ok):
ctrl + F12 > Options > Advanced > Tabs > Additional tabs options > Unselect "Show close button on each tab" and select "Double click to close tab".
And ive discovered that I like this more than the button
specially with all my 36 tabs on my itty bitty netbook.

I think this is a bug.
You talked about a fix by removing the close button. But Opera is already doing that by default! Let me explain:
When you open a page, on the tab you have the icon, the title, and the close "cross".
If you continue to open pages until there is no space anymore, the close button automatically disappears. (It appears only on the selected tab, I think this is clever).
In the previous Opera versions (11.x), the space given by the hiding of the close button was used by the favicon --> Regression (may be caused by the change of behaviour of the favicon, resizing, ...)
The bug is that this free space is not used anymore in Opera 12! What is the point of removing the close button if the given space is not used by the favicon? If we look at MentalPROblem's screeshot, we can see that there is a lot of lost space on the right of the favicons.
For me, the favicons should be this small only on the selected tab (because the close button is displayed in this case).
I reported it on the beta (DSK-365216), but it seems to still be the case on 12 final.
Edit: I just saw that "Badtz Maru" explained the same thing
It is clearly a problem on the management of the "hiding" of the close button.

I keep about 30 tabs open so they are always small, showing favicon only, and I like it that way. I have a bunch of them pinned, and on those tabs, the favicon still shows just fine even when the tab is selected. Pinned tabs don't have the x to close, so it's definitely related to the close button.
