Can;' t access specific web site

Hi,
as i am trying to access my seedbox account,
i noticed that i can' t through opera 12

Although i fill the right user name and password (via copy/paste) i take the message that

Either filled wrong credentials
or
my browser (opera) can' t understand how to manage them

The sites url is https and http

I am under fedora 17 or/and sabayon 9 (both 64bit)

I contact to the seedbox support and they told me that i'd rather not use opera.

All other browsers that i tried (firefox, chromium, even epiphany worked like expected).

Epiphany will be recognized by most Web Pages as Safari (Epiphany/Safari/Chromium all use Webkit).

My guess is that there are stupid web designers at work that make use of browser sniffing. Try masking as Firefox in the Site Preferences.

There is one other possibility ... Opera handles non-ASCII characters in passwords just a little differently than other browsers. There's no official standard on how to do hashcodes for Unicode characters, whether to use UTF8 or UTF16 or what, and apparently Opera's implementation is different from other browsers. The net result - on sites that hash passwords, if the password contains non-ASCII characters (non-Latin letters, accented characters, or generally anything not found on a US keyboard) the same password may work in Opera and not other browsers or vice versa. Just make sure the password only contains Latin characters, numbers, and standard punctuation and it should work in all browsers.

The password contains only latin characters.

I tried to mask opera as firefox with the same result.

I am using opera since windows time (very long time ago, before opera becomes free browser) and its the first time that i cant access a site.

For further investigation i can provide the site ip (but not user name/password).

Thank you,
