website startrekonline.com is not showing up correctly in Opera 12 (it was in Opera 11.x)
Yesterday I upgraded from Opera 11.4 (x86) version to Opera 12 (x64 version) and I noticed one of the website I regularly visit wasn't beinng shown correctly. The website is: http://startrekonline.com/
When visiting with Opera 12 x64 a whole black website is shown, with what appears to be an image over the page. The image isn't shown and the X to close isn't working.
Because I also still had the 32bit version of Opera installed (11.x) I also opened the website in that browser, but then it is shown correctly.
I then upgraded the 32bit version to 12.00 (b 1467), and immediately the website is broken.
The site is showing up correctly in other browsers..
any idea?
Do you see that bug directly on http://startrekonline.com/ or do you need to login?
Without login it looks fine here.
You could try a separate install of Opera 12. When you start the Opera installer there is some option in the lower left corner. There you can choose usb-install mode and can change the path. That install will not write anything to your registry as it stores everything in its install folder. If this install works fine, then it is a problem with your install.

true so far. It becomes a problem if you leave the landing page and try to enter the official site.
Then you have just a black screen with a x on the right side and some sort of picture on the upper side of your view screen.
So i have the same problem too with my opera 12 64 bit version.
USB Install mode is not an option when I run the installer (both x86 and x64 installers).
I've only got the option "All Users on This computer". The field is grayed out.
And like cinc said. There is one page I was able to see, but i'm unable to find that page again..
ah.. cleared the cookies, and the landing page is showing again.
after that I click the "Enter the official site" link (e.g. http://sto.perfectworld.com/landing)
and there's the page I'm talking about.

Confirmed. Identifying/Masking as Internet Explorer does not help here.

You need to change the path. Then that field should be enabled.
