Better search engines management

I'd like to see:
- Add separator button (so you can separate search engines in groups)
- Move search engines up or down in dropdown menu

In the end it should look similar to this (i've recreated the buttons using image editor):
http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/5033/searchcontrol9zm.png

Now it appears that you can do this already by "hacking" search.ini file, but i'd prefer these options in Opera 9 itself.
Far more elegant, fast and user friendly smile

What do you think?

+100 - OpSed has been out for how long? Why is it so hard to setup? The OpSed click to install search engine is a cool idea too - like the Opera buttons, skins, widgets etc...

+1. although I only use shortcuts, I think it would be great to be able to create seperators and move searches up/down.

Though i have no idea why Opera groups search engines by itself. I just made 4 search engines by myself and 4th one is separated from other 3. Wtf?

btw, i have a problem with encoding in search engines. By default it sets to iso-8859-1. But often i need utf-8 or windows-1251. Can you add encoding in Edit part?

@cris.kiev: Try Opera 9 final, it should fix your issues. If not, please file a bug report with the page that has the wrong encoding.

I don't get this one...

It's grouping stuff by itself even though i don't even virtually want them like this.
Why!? How to remove these stupid separators?

Whilst I agree with the missing functionality being implemented as soon as possible, I kind of disagree with the menu system that Opera 9 is using for Search management all together. It, like the Feeds Manager is inconsistent with the Managers that control Widgets and Bookmarks. If they were all of a likeness you'd be able to drag n' drop entries in all four where you want them (or alphabetise), create 'smart folders and searches' and use seperators through a right click context menu.

I don't really understand why the Feeds and Searh Managers don't adopt the same interface and functionality of the Widget and Bookmark Managers to begin with. It makes logical, familiar sense to do so, and would incorporate all basic features and allow for more.

As I talked about in my other thread here: http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=145012

Open search.ini from your profile folder and replace Has endseparator=1 to Has endseparator=0. Restart Opera to see your changes.

But why 3 engines, then 1 and again 2 and once more just 1. Based on what logic!? It's like wtf!?

definitely +1 add seperator and sort manually
+ add a flag to search engines like bInSearchWithMenu=1 so that you can specify if the engine should be shown in the search with submenu.

I don't like move up/down buttons. I'd prefer simple drag'n'drop rearrangement.

Plus my feature request:
support for OpenSearch: http://opensearch.a9.com/spec/1.1/description/

This is format that IE7 (and possibly Firefox2/3) will use for adding search engines. "Create search" is nice, but this spec supports autodiscovery, adding descriptions/icons and a few other goodies.

+1, btw Delete button should works also for separators.
Feature from me: in Search Manager there would be also Translations (for Dictionary, Encyclopedia and Translate menu) like in Opsed.

+1 - this functionality should be fairly simple to code. Opera shouldn't use a third party tool as an excuse to be lazy.

+1 also I'd like it if when you select [EN-GB] in the Opera browser the search engines automatically go to .co.uk as I've had to delete most of them and go to the google.co.uk and amazon.co.uk sites and then rearrange them in the search.ini file. up
