Bookmarks toolbar chaos

I can see that some version of this issue goes back a few versions with Opera, though I don't know if it only applies to the Linux versions. I like ot have the Bookmarks toolbar on - I was using Windows for years before I found this quick and useful function. With only Opera though I find that the site icons jump around on the toolbar from where they were first set, and that the icons disappear quite often, leaving just the site name. Imagine that this is being tackled and that developers know what's up or are inspecting Firefox or Chromium code to see what they can nab from there, but my enquiry here and today is that I wonder if there is anything that can be done in the meantime that makes the disturbances less frequent or something. Any files in /home/username/.opera that I can amend?

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit, but I think I found similar bugginess with a 32 bit OS or two - Debian, Mint and Fedora for example, 32 and 64 bit versions.

This is for me the only issue I have with Opera since AdBlock became available. I'm going to stick with it and have removed Chrome and Firefox from my Ubuntu installation anyway but hopefully the issue will be solved in 13 as it is very odd and noticeable.

Thanks.

It seems to have something to do with the 'prelight' state of the favicon. You know where you hover and the favicon gets a bit brighter. This is when a favicon tends to disappear in my experience. Maybe this will help solve the issue.
