Opera12 blocks everythingHello!
I'm using Opera12 (Build 1467) with Mageia (KDE) and it has a very annoying bug.
From time to time it blocks a website completely and shows a mouse pointer with a forbidden sign. I cannot do anything but close the tab. (Duplicating it helps, the duplicate works fine for a while.) This happens every few minutes if I switch sites often, when I'm reading through several forum posts for example. There is no obvious reason behind it, it happens seemingly at random, I don't have to click anything, but the chance increases if I browse through several pages fast.
I'm reading a lot with the browser and switch between tabs often a well as browse back and forth in the same tab. This is interrupting my work flow and quite frankly driving me crazy. I had no problems with Opera11.
I haven't found any information about this, how should I proceed?
P.S.: Unrelated - The registration for this forum is irritating, I had to solve a stupid captcha several times, because it kept rejecting either my chosen name or my e-mail address. Strangely I had to solve the captcha before I could check whether the name was already taken. Finally I used this name and a trash mail adress, because I grew tired. Of course that worked instantly. *shakes his head*

Try pressing Esc? Possibly Opera thinks you are trying to drag something, and telling you that you can't drop it in the same page ...
Thank you for trying to help.
Although the mouse pointer symbol is the same, in my case everything locks up and nothing helps. The page becaomes completely inaccessible. I cannot click anything nor does pressing any key help.

As a Mageia user myself, I haven't seen this problem yet. When I'm running Windows I'll have problems from time to time if a page has a very large image (such as 4000x3000 JPG files) in which case using the taskbar to minimize Opera and then restore usually helps, but I haven't had the same issue in Linux.
History navigation mode:3 keeps rendered pages in the cache, which speeds up browsing back and forth a lot.
I use mouse gestures for fast browsing (holding right mouse button and clicking left for back, vice versa for foreward).
It worked fine since version, I dunno, 7 or something.
When I try to drag image or selected text and drop it within the page area it caused few seconds freeze and then cursor changes.
Also it follows by stdout message: "opera: Failed to receive data from drag-n-drop source. Timeout."
That's not cool at all, I'm used to drag images just a little to open it in current tab in 11.64.
Is is bug or feature, is there any way to fix it, maybe need some gtk stuff or other depend package?
Why opera can't receive data about dragging object, when the source is opera itself?
But I recall having accidentally started a "drag" operation on a wiki page (action that wouldn't make any sense) - then the mouse pointer with the forbidden sign accompanying me everywhere (denial of service on any of my multiple open tabs). But finding the tab where I did the "misoperation" and closing it solved the issue.
