You can export Opera's messages in a filter by right-clicking on a filter in the Mail panel and selecting Export.
Opera saves its messages in a standard format called mbs (or mbox). Most clients should be able to import this file format; and if not there are several third-party conversion tools that will convert mbs to another format.

Sorry for the "noobness" but how can I import that mbs file to Outlook? And the two third-party conversion tools I tried didn't work very well.

I meant e-mail program so I could import the mail database and then export it as something else. I tried aid4mail and didn't like the results.

You need to transfer emails from operaM2 to other clients like eudora, thunderbird, outlook. right?
1. Opera to Eudora (mbx) , you have done.
2. Thunderbird can easily import all eudora settings, mailboxes using import feature. Also, it can import isngle mbx file. Just play with thunderbird import tool, you should get it.
3.For importing to outlook from eudora or mbx files see this: http://anrcs.ucdavis.edu/Email_Options-_Life_After_Eudora_6-1/Windows_email-_Import_Eudora_to_Outlook.htm
4. if you want to play games of transferring, you can again switch back to thunderbird from outlook. http://support.real-time.com/tbird/outlook_import.html
That should answer all of your queries.
As a personal opinion, I like Eudora(as used for long time in sponsored mode) and Thunderbird is the best in terms of growing features and usuability. I don't like MS products like outlook because if any viruses attack, it will attack outlook first.guarunteed.
thanks.
