Opera 12.01 still has problems with Flash

When I installed Opera 12.0 I could not play Flash content. Today Flash was updated and Opera 12.01 was available. After installing it I'm still unable to play Flash content. As before, I have reverted to Opera 11.64 and all is fine.

Why is it taking so long to sort this out?

Flash works fine here.

Try disabling hardware acceleration for flash.

Opera Next 12.15 X64 @ Windows 8 Pro X64
Intel Q6600 - 6GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GT520 1GB

Works fine for me as well, finally. Use "about:plugins" to see if you have multiple versions of flash on your system, and disable all but the most recent flash version (11.3.300.268 for me).

Is that stupid pluginwrapper showing up in task manager? That thing has caused me enough issues I have simply flat out quit using Opera! Was looking for a topic about flash and that pluginwrapper.

Opera 12.01 update caused the BBC flash player to say that I needed to update as my flash player was out of date. This I did do several times to no avail and much muttering.
I also have Firefox this worked OK !
My operating system Windows XP SP3
Searched my system and found at C/Windows/system32\Macromed/flash a driver with todays date (from my download see Ist paragraph) NPSWF32_11_3_300_268.dll Copied this file and pasted to C/program files/opera 11.0.1/program/plugin having first renamed both NPSWF32_flashutil.exe and NPSWF32 that were there in-case it did not work and I would be able to restore things .

Opened opera and the BBC duly played. Decided not to see which of, if any of the renamed files was the culprit.

Hope this helps yours Jay

The same problem with Opera 12.01 and Win7-64 until today. I downgraded to 11.64 but email stopped working. I upgraded back to 12.01 and checked for Win updates. I noticed that MS Silverlight was possible to update. That resolved all. I had also problems with (java based) internet games and all problems are now gone.
