Large bookmarks file causes text field input lagWhile trying to find a solution to why I had so much lag in almost any kind of text field, both on web pages and browser proper, I discovered that if my bookmarks file is empty the lag all but disappears. My bookmarks file is 1.3 MB. From this I infer that the bookmarks file is searched whenever text is entered in text fields, even if there's no use for that, like in the text field I'm writing this in.
Can anyone confirm this, or do you have a bookmark file as large or larger than mine?
I'd be interested to know if the link to the bookmarks file can somehow be disabled.
I'm using OS X 10.7.4 and Opera 12.01.
I can easily reproduce this by renaming ~/Library/Opera and reinstalling Opera. As soon as I set bookmarks to my bookmarks.adr file severe lag is introduced in all text fields anywhere in opera, and it affects all text fields I've tried, without exception. I previously thought some fields were excepted but what I found is that in those fields I only entered numbers. I then realised that entering numbers in any text field does not lag at all.
Each letter is a pain, numbers are totally smooth to type.
I'm using OS X 10.7.4 and Opera 12.01 as well.

There's been no change since this bug was first introduced.
After all these months (was it May or earlier? ), has there ever been anyone with version 12.x that can practically use Opera with more than a couple (3digit number) of bookmarks?

Are you going to give any feedback on this, or just make half-hearted attempts at showing you care?
Open the Help menu and type in the title of one of your bookmarks into the search field. Is that also slow?
