Opera 12.50 Build 1546
New 12.50 build released today.http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2012/08/10/more-marlin
No Knowm Issues list.
They made changes on page redraw settings and need feedback on it.
Opera Next 12.15 X64 @ Windows 8 Pro X64
Intel Q6600 - 6GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GT520 1GB
Intel Q6600 - 6GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GT520 1GB
I will say, the testers got a build with the new redraw settings earlier, it was quite impressive ...
And of course, anything that was a known issue and hasn't been listed as fixed is still a known issue even if they didn't repeat it (in particular, last week's G+ issue).

Based on what I see on my machine and on what I saw among the blog post’s comments, it seems like there’s something weird with this build on the Windows 8 Release Preview. Any attempt to load a page ends up showing “Connection closed by remote server.” I’m running the 64-bit build, but somebody said the 32-bit one did the same thing for them.
Try DnD feature on http://minus.com. Drag any image from desktop into that site and confirm. It won't be uploaded but opened from local disk!
Try to send a file over IRC. No progress displayed. Recipient can see something (other IRC client) but no transfer. Try again - Opera crashes!
Most sites load faster, scrolling is better... except Facebook. Scrolling and browsing FB is slow because of heavy scripts and lots of images.

So far, this build seems exceptionally nice (Mac OS X 10.7.4). Pages do seem to drawn more quickly, and scrolling has notably improved. The only issue I've seen so far is a break of continuity while moving my pointer across my Speed Dial thumbnails--only when HWA is disabled. Turning HWA on seems to fix it. The thumbnail seems to increase in size and then decrease, but this happens within hundredths of a second, so I'm not completely positive that this is exactly what happens. Can anyone confirm this so I can report it?

I have the same problem, see my topic. I'm using 64 bit.
Puzzling ... I have several bookmarks on MyOpera here but the star in the address bar is gray while I'm in this thread. Must be a poor matching algorithm that will match substrings of the actual bookmark (but not other pages on the same site).
I can confirm the issue for, say, Flickr. Bookmarking some user's page and then going to http://flickr.com/ will show the star, but visiting another user's page will not. Though come to think of it, I'm in 12.01 ... so this isn't actually a beta issue.

Problem of slowdowns with Facebook remain. For me, it's really a problem. If you don't fix that, you will loose users. Facebook is a really popular site.
Had a strange problem with https connexions, that doesn't work but, after i connect to my gmail account, everything is ok, but slow - slower than 11,52, the version i use now. Pages load a little slower and it seem to be haevier in memory - but that's an alpha version, so it's normal.

12.5 has been having difficulties posting comments at the Blaze. I get a "not logged in" error.

I've noticed a pattern with the "not responding" problem. It occurs every time opera is opened, about a minute or so afterward, and lasts for about half a minute. Then usually the session performs fine, until memory use gets too high, and then I may lose the control buttons as the title bar goes black. This can be many hours later. A restart will set the whole thing in operation again.
I've watched Task Manager as the freeze occurs, and I've seen no new instance of the plugin wrapper come alive, so I don't know what the logjam is. I'm on Win7/32bit, with 4GB RAM, using the Windows Aero theme on a nVidia card, and using the standard opera theme.
