Bug when I try to upload a picture on plus.google.comHello Opera team!
Firstly, I post this on the forum because I want to know if I'm the only one having this problem and talk about it. I've already send a bugreport (DSK-368162, June 24) that lacks of some informations I precise here because I discovered it after sending the bug report. If you think that I can resend the bug report or file this post as text file, please say it. Also, this problem exists since months and months, so please be indulgent and don't close my topic for bugreport reason.
I've one problem with Google+. I can't upload pictures of less than 50 Kio (51,200 octets, to be precise) on Opera in an album, since 11.64 or even more. This doesn't depend of OS (I tried on Windows XP and Linux), neither of Flash version (tested with 11.1 on Linux, 11.2 on XP and Linux and 11.3 on XP). All works properly on IE or Chrome. This don't concern the upload of photos in a post, but only albums. The bug affects more than the Google+ tab itself.
XP SP3: Intel Celeron 1.5 GHz,1 Go of RAM
Linux 3.x on GNOME3 environment: Intel Core i5 2.2 GHz 430M, 4 Go of RAM
Steps for reproduce:
0. Prepare a picture of less than 50 Kio.
1. Go on Google+ in "Photos" section
2. Select "Upload new photos"
3. Click two times on "Select photos from your computer" (When we click on a Flash object in Opera, we need to unlock it before it interact with user)
4. Select the picture of less than 50 Kio
After the 4., I see a "Upload 1 of 1", with a blank progress bar and no photo or thumbnail appear, unlike the behavior of IE8 or Chrome. I can wait forever, the photo will never be uploaded. The webpage freezes too : when my mouse goes over the "Cancel" button, it doesn't react. When I click on cancel, it doesn't cancel.
Another thing freezes (tested with Flash 11.2 and 11.3, only on XP with Opera 12.01, not in the bugreport): For example, after the step 4, when I listen a song on Grooveshark, the song ends properly, but after I cannot add any other song, or replay my song. The time doesn't increase, even if I hear the song and seconds pass. When I try to seek into the song, this doesn't work and the song stops. When I close the Google+ tab, all problems disappear, it seeks me the song at the time I sought and the song replay immediately. I can select a song and play it or replay a song.
Another example. I play a video on Dailymotion (site like YouTube, it uses Flash) before the step 1. After the step 4, the sound of video stops after some seconds. Before and after the sound stops, if I return to the tab with the video, I see one frame in the video, like if I click on pause. I can do nothing in the Flash object (like pausing). Immediately after I close the tab, the video & the sound is back and I can pause or change the volume. Flash seems to freeze when I upload the <50 Kio picture.
What I expect (and what is going when I upload a picture of more than 50 Kio):
After the 4., an entry appear with a bar indicating the upload and the name of my file. The progress bar below "Upload 1 of 1" progresses and the picture is uploaded. I can create my album or add the picture in the album and upload an another file.
Some details: If you open Opera Dragonfly, reload the page and do the steps, before the step 4, if you search "setMinImageByteCountForRescale" in script tab of Dragonfly, you'll find a line and a function call like d.setMinImageByteCountForRescale(a.[3char random name]). If you set a breakpoint at this line, do the step 4, open the console, and type "a.[3char random name] = 0", the bug will not appear and you can upload your picture.
I hope that this bug report will help to resolve the bug and I posted it on the right section. Thanks for reading me.
