Bug(s) in MyOpera mail
I am currently composing an email that includes a quote from a previous email. When I come to the bottom of the quote, with the default signature under it, I cannot mark that text. I can mark it until a certain point. I have to put the cursor in front of all the text and press delete. And what is the deal with, when you click and drag email, the mail icon and "cursor tracks"? Is that a "feature"? If it is, it's buggy.

Hi there,
In order to help, I need to know which browser and browser version you are using.
Can you try to explain in a little more detail how are you trying to mark text?
An example might look like this:
1. I press the reply button to reply to a message
2. I use my mouse to click the end of the quoted message
3. I use my mouse to drag downwards to try and highlight my signature
A screenshot of the issue may also help. Feel free to send it to me if you're not comfortable posting it on the open forum.
Regarding the second issue:
Are you using the Opera browser? If so, the rendering artifacts you see when dragging a message is a known issue.
If not, please let me know which browser you are using.
Thanks for the report

I'm sorry,
this was made with another account, that I used to create a 'professional' email. Hope that's okay. In any case, those bugs are no longer present in Opera 12.10. I can select text fine and drag around the icons with no 'trails' appearing.
However, one I just discovered now, I cannot scroll (as in pressing the middle mouse button and start panning)! The 'pan' icon shows up, but it refuses to pan. It has to be done by rolling the mousewheel or other means.

Just to be certain, are you talking about mail.opera.com giving you troubles, or Opera's inbuilt email client? Which part of your Mail can't you scroll? The mailbox? A specific message?
Please do not email me directly unless requested to do so. Thanks!

In https://mail.opera.com, the thing used for communication between forum members. <nick>@myopera.com. Not using the built-in client.
The mails cannot be 'pan-scrolled' (middle click + up/down). I can't speak for the Inbox because there's not enough messages in it yet. But any email, a conversation or a simple one, cannot be scrolled by this manner. It seems anything within the site that makes the scroll bar pops up.
I've tested two machines now, Windows xp 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit, (the last one given in my signature). Do you get the same?

Thanks for the report. I'll see to it that a developer has a look.

You have to use a different browser for this. Opera doesn't support auto-scroll in overflown elements (like divs).
Also, when composing instead of reading, auto-scrolling won't work as auto-scrolling in textareas is currently broken in Opera (that used to work I think). You'll have to use a different browser if you want this too.
Auto-scrolling individual frames in a frameset is currently broken in Opera too.
Yeah, it doesn't look like this will be fixed any time soon.
