Ctrl+Tab = Tab cycle dialog box wierd!!

I just restarted my computer and some windows updates were installed. Nothing graphics card related
No idea what happened, but that totally ruined the Tab Cycle Dialog box (or if it has another name, let me know, the search turns up nothing using those terms).
It just pops up as a white washed out box. Not opera theme related either. I tried re-installing Opera.
Here is a picture smile :

Is there a fix for this?

I'm on Win 7x64; Opera64bit.

UPDATE:
This only occurs if Hardware Acceleration is turned on. If Off, then it's OK. This was not an issue yesterday. I've had HWA on without any issues since 12.00.

Never experienced it myself. You say it's not theme related but that would have been my suspected cause of it.

Did that include deleting your profile directory?

That is where all your Opera settings are.

You could start with a fresh profile and that may fix the issue, you can do this quite safely without losing any of your bookmarks etc.

Follow the instructions here first for backing up the important files.
Shut down Opera and remove that profile directory (or just rename it if you prefer). When you restart Opera a new profile directory will be created.
If it works properly you can then close Opera again and transfer your backed-up files back into your new profile.

Put these files back one at a time, you might just discover which one is causing the problem.

Ok, so finally found some time to test this.
Tested deleting the profile directory, still the same.

And it's not just the cycle tab dialog box, it's also the autocomplete box as well.

There may be something else going on. I even installed the new 12.02 version.

What could it be?

Let's see ... you are using Windows. Any desktop theming software installed? Ad and popup blockers have sometimes been known to think the autocomplete dropdown is an ad, but they usually block it completely rather than leaving a white area ...

No desktop theming, no ad/popup blockers apart from the Opera Adblock (https://addons.opera.com/en-gb/extensions/details/opera-adblock), which has never been a problem.

I have already tried disabling addons, disabling plugins, but nothing changes.

Only other possibility is a fairly bizarre font issue ... if you go to Preferences > Advanced > Fonts do the various browser fonts look reasonable? Select one and click on Choose to look at the sample text, if it's fine then cancel that one and look at the next (there's about 5 or 6 there).

Try installing a portable version so you separate the browser code to any previous local setting of yours.

This happens on all Editions. Portable, Normal desktop, 32bit and 64bit.
It's not just the tab cycle dialog box, it's also the address autocomplete/dropdown.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

You said it only happens with hardware acceleration enabled, so what is your graphics hardware?

Windows, looks like 7 or Vista (not XP and not 8) ... presumably you are not forcing Opera to use OpenGL but are using the default Direct3D rendering? Drivers are all up-to-date?

You had already mentioned trying the 32-bit version - I did catch that.

Still can't duplicate it here though, so no idea. sad
