Make tap and hold while editing address field text to select word instead of the whole text on it.A single tap to start editing already selects it all so there's really no use for the current action (it selects all).

After You click on the address field and enter edit mode, it becomes a text field just like every other text field in Android, and we don't really have the possibility to change long press behaviour.

I was not precise, it behaves like every other address field, please notice, that this is how it works in Android native browser.

Right, but why "copying" that behavior like it's a "mandatory rule" and the best one?
In my opinion, the solution to be implemented is the best for the user regardless. And in this situation now there's no way to select a part of the URL other than manually shrinking the selection zone after it's completely selected, while if it selected the word on double tap/hold it'd display a (there'd be a quick way to perform both options vs. a quick way to select all but a poor way to select part of the address).
The address field of the Windows version doesn't follow IE...

I do not know how to do it, but.... When I tap into the address field (URL), the address is deleted and the field is prepared to type a new address.... But when I want to select & copy the whole address or some part of it, what to do?

Here tapping one time the address field to start editing will select the whole address (as well as holding or double-tapping)...
