Opera 12 loads pages very slowly sometimes, if at all
I don't think it is my imagination, but Opera 12 seems to load pages very slowly sometimes and sometimes not at all - it just sits there spinning its wheel. I open another browser like FF or QTWeb and the pages load almost instantly. What is Opera 12 doing that it doesn't work right? I am about to ditch Opera after many years because it is acting increasingly annoying. Can't we stop putting in all the extra worthless crap and just make a streamlined browser? Plus, Opera seems to use more and more memory evn with no pages open. Why? I don't do mail or newsgroups or anything else - I just want a mean and lean browser.Any ideas?

the browser do not finish to load the page... load es: 32/32 elements and wait .... for ever.
the problem start with version 12.00 and 12.01 and 12.02
all work well up to version 11.64
i use windows 7 32bit starter edition

same issue with me, i might be able to offer some insight.
i am viewing a web page at whatever xyz.com
click on link at xyz.com to open in background tab, repeat.
all tabs will hang/not load/ be blank
same links checked in other browsers, function normally
other sites will load fine during this time, issue resolves after 45 seconds or though.
current power computer, windows 7 64bit, fresh windows install did not resolve it.
tried playing with network settings and opera caches, no effect, started with opera 12

I have basically the same problem with versions 12.00, 12.01, & also with 12.02 in that no web page ever completely loads. Not even Opera's own pages will completely load. Most of the time, the pages get to the last element to load and then it hangs and never completes the load. Something has been added to these versions of Opera that causes the firewall to close. With versions before 12.00, this does not happen.
So, it's back to 11.67 once again!

The same here. Since v12.00 it's getting slower with each sub version. Meanwhile (with 12.02) IE is much faster than Opera!!!
I'm so disappointed after all those good years ...
Can anybody tell me if it is save to revert to/reinstall 11.6-something without losing any settings or histories?
