Feeds disappeared!

Argh! Where did all my RSS feeds go? I just read one, and 10 min later I went to the list again and got nothing but ESPN and opera blogs.

Keeps happening to me too... Certainly one of the most painful things I encounter online.

It happened again! I put back about half my feeds and before I had even gotten around to remembering the rest, Opera ate them all again! Why???

Sounds like your copy of Opera Mini got corrupted. On most phones, exiting Opera Mini in any way other than Menu > Exit can lead to corruption of your Opera Mini resulting in things like lost data like missing bookmarks or missing RSS feeds. Try deleting Opera Mini (after saving what data you can to Opera Link) and reuse your phone's browser to redownload and reinstall Opera Mini again.

Also if you're upgrading from Opera Mini 4, Opera Link does not synchronize RSS Feeds for Opera Mini versions higher than 5.

Happened to me also this morning. this is one of the biggest with mini. if at least feeds were backed up with opera link...

Opera, can't you do anything to improve your users experience in this respect? This issue has been going on for years.

I usually close OM properly but I'll try reinstalling anyways.

Thanks for listening Opera!

Cheers

If it has got to do with your not exiting your Opera Mini properly, then it ought to be a browser-specific problem, than server related. Makes me wonder how cloud computing can work with Opera without the fear of losing everything! no

Ok, tried to reinstall but that didn't solve anything so my feeds are gone and I'll have to waste some more time finding them again.
Seriously, this is enjoying. When are we going to have opera link for rss feeds?
Back up people backup!

Yep, fail only one time usually after a fresh app installation. I've posted an workaround related with logincheck link from mini4 which eventually will work as sync link reminder for feed list.

In case you lose next time your RSS feeds, save now all channels one by one to the "Saved pages". Then refresh and subscribe.

@Ngamer01: I had a sneaking suspicion that and memory was the case. Sadly, thanks to my ever so trigger-happy thumb, I keep exiting the fast way ending up having to do this again, and again and again... I really hope the developers will find time to look into this. Opera mini 4 deserves some much needed love.

About the Rss feeds disappearing, I think I've found a relatively hassle free way to deal with this without having to manually find and subscribe to all those feeds each and every time Opera gets corrupted.

You'll need to use Google Reader to make a list of all the feeds that you have and then use the Bundle feature to group them all into separate sets. Like one for all your news feeds, other for blogs, your favourite tech sites, etc.

To access your Bundles, click Browse for Stuff in All items. If you've already created bundles you'll see a link - View your bundles, around the bottom of the page. For each of the bundles you'll need to click the Add a link beside them. Once all of the pages with your feeds have opened up just bookmark them into your Opera Link.

Now all you need to do, is open them in opera mini and subscribe to those bundles of feeds :P
I hope this helps you guys get around this issue for now. If anyone else have found more ways to manage this, I'd love to hear about it.
