Issues with Tabs...

Hi, i have an issue with tabs.
I have enabled the option "Continue from last time" and when I shutdown the computer all tabs are closed, all like "Continue from last time" were disabled.

This happened to me only with v12 and v12.02 of Opera.
Any help would be appreciated. Thx in advance.smile

If you want help you need to improve your thread title and description. I can only guess what you are doing and what the result is.

I'm guessing he means when he re-opens Opera all the previous session's tabs haven't been saved, like the option to Continue isn't enabled.

Sure, but the title doesn't say that ... and he hasn't mentioned anything about his system. Is he running Windows (most likely) 7 (again, most likely) 64-bit (likewise) and 32-bit Opera?

The most likely cause is that Opera can't write to his session file, either because it's locked or requires administrator access. If he installed as a standalone install into a system directory, that would be one reason it might occur - but there are several others. And that's not counting if he isn't using Windows, etc.

Like Pesala, I'll wait for more details - though I'll also say he should edit his first post too to fix the title.

I just looked at the version of Opera he was running and didn't consider the OS, assuming it was either XP or, likely, 7.

Ok, was my fault but here is the main specs:
Windows XP Professional Version 2002 - Service Pack 3 - 32 bits
Opera V12.02 Comp.1578
I have Administrator Access to my pc.

And yes when I re-open Opera after I shutdown my pc all previous tabs haven't been saved and this happened to me only after i upgraded to V12 and V12.02
Before V12 all was workin very good...
Don't forget i have already enabled "COntinue from the last time"

P.S: I have noticed autocomplete web pages is not working properly neither and "show full web address in address field" is enabled.
Thx in Advance...

If you go to Help > About Opera, what does it say for "Saved Session". Does that file exist? (You can't actually browse to that location, it's in a hidden folder, but if you copy everything up to the last "\" you can paste it into the Location bar of any file browser window to open the folder and see.)

Also check to see if the folder may be locked. Otherwise ... some privacy software has been known to delete Opera files, what sort of privacy software are you running?

Try renaming them and see if anything changes. Maybe the files are corrupted.

Try saving a session manually, and see if it is saved properly.

The other possibility we haven't mentioned yet is that the drive is full, though then you should be seeing other error messages - Opera will display a message if it is unable to save your bookmarks file, for example.
