Opera Next 12.10 [1593]

That was pretty quick ... an update to fix a few crashers, and also update a few icons on Retina displays. Also due to some issues, they (already) disabled SPDY when Turbo is enabled, so it's one or the other on that.

The known issue is that HWA still causes a lot of crashes. they specifically say that if you have an issue try it again without acceleration to see if it helps.

Doesn't seem able to play an .ogg file on secure wikimedia server. 12.02 plays this without an issue.

Tested with a -pd switch generated fresh profile. Running Win7 x64 sp1. I'm using the x64 version Opera & Opera Next, installed for all users.

Is it a known issue?

[Addendum]
Doesn't play locally either when the file is downloaded.

Greetings ,

I have confirmed that in win 7 x64 . It would seem that not only will 12.10 build 1593 no longer play ogg files, but it doesn't play any html5 video or audio files . That's a real show stopper for the 64x version . have you tried the same test with out HA ?

bug reported DSK-374102 . Good find wink

cheers!!

Seeing as I don't think the 7 vs. XP aspect is likely to matter, I suppose it must be a bug in the 64-bit builds ...

I think I'm getting some sort of sign ... lol

You are right, Steve. I've downloaded the 32 bit version and installed locally to test it. And it played the .ogg without an issue. smile
