i think that's impossible without breaking support for keyboard/button controls.
i think android treats the scroll wheel of a mouse as up and down arrow keys.

this rectangle is not the android feature. i try android browser - mouse wheel scroll works like link choose in it, and no rectangle appears. this rectangle is opera feature or something.

and i don't want to disable mouse scrolling. how i suppose to scroll web pages with mouse then?

With a keyboard, that rectangle shows you the region that will be visible when you press Enter (which is the equivalent of clicking with a mouse) ...

When you first arrive at a page, Opera reduces it to fit the screen. When you click on the page, Opera will then return to your default zoom. So you could call it a zoom rectangle.

this is not i'm asking for =) i don't care why it appears and how it called.

after opening a few sites and make a zoom several times i know by heart what area will me zoomed after clicking on the screen. so i don't need this area highlighted all the time. i think nobody do. it is spoil pictures and interferes text. i want to disable this zoom rectangle, is there any way to do it?
