Sudden loss of button and panel customizations after closing
This pertains to 9.01 on Windows XP SP2 (I wasn't aware 9.02 was out till I came here to post this). Really odd, but I accidentally close opera, and when I reopen it about five minutes later, a lot of my customizations have suddenly disappeared.- Firstly, all the shortcuts to webpages I had in my start bar disappeared, and were replaced by two google search text boxes.
- The normal google search box which is right next to the url box in the address bar has come back (I had removed it before). I had moved the file open, save, and print buttons to the left of the url box, and they were gone.
- The buttons on the hotlist panel have..I'm guessing gone back to the default? I didn't have a widget button there before, and my mail button was above the bookmarks button (as well as several of the other buttons were ordered differently). Biggest change here though is that I had the buttons with images only, and now they have images and text below.
I don't know what to make of this. I've closed and reopened opera hundreds of times before without anything like this happening. If it matters, I was installing Visual Studio 2005 in the background during all this.
Guess I'm just looking to see if anyone has any idea why this happened. I've gone ahead and recustomized everything to the best of my memory, and the bug doesn't seem to have arisen, but figured I'd post in case someone else has had something similar occur.

I would start by checking to see if I was still using the correct user profile:
Help > About Opera will show the path.
Then I would verify the correct Toolbar and Menu setups were in use:
Ctrl+F12 > Advanced > Toolbars
Help > About Opera will show the path.
Then I would verify the correct Toolbar and Menu setups were in use:
Ctrl+F12 > Advanced > Toolbars
