Unable to login - Yahoo and Hotmail !!!!
I have 12 Yahoo logins, and 20 in Hotmail, and im no longer able to login on its login pages.I has a bookmark at Yahoo - mail.yahoo.com - and it works fine....
Now when i press this bookmrk appears this page - https://login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify2?&.src=ym - and im unable to login - no login usernames and passwords are saved on this page.
Why?
Can i change the login page settings? I try "edit site pref", try different coockie settings - no success.....
Is there any way to convert the Wand.dat file in .txt format?
I know it's frowned upon to post in another's thread, but this problem is too similar to warrant a new thread.
I too have done like ferrarist75 says he's done. Why this problem persists, I don't know. I have yet to delete Firefox, because this problem occurs. I have just recently downloaded 9.02 and when having totally deleted the old 9.01, which had the same problem, it was working great. Now, today, it doesn't work anymore. That means I am forced back to a browser I don't particularly like.
I don't know if ferrarist75 or any other has this problem too: I have two different logins to choose from when using the Wand. They are exactly the same, doing exactly the same username and password when trying to login. I have never followed a link to Hotmail, I have typed in the adress every time. I have typed my e-mail and password the same every time, so why would there be two login-choices?
Have attached a screenshot of what I get when trying to login.Hotmail-login.JPG

Welcome to Opera and the forums...
See Tools > Preferences > Wand > Passwords. Are there any entries there for Yahoo!? Hotmail? If so, how many?

The problem has nothing to do with the number of entries in wand. Rather its because yahoo has redirected that page.
Originally the login page is really on mail.yahoo.com, so the wand passwords is associated with that domain and that domain ONLY.
Yahoo redirected that page to login.yahoo.com a while back and that's why wand lost all the stored password (the domain has changed). Just recently, yahoo increased the security by using https instead of plain http for login.yahoo.com and that again breaks wand. So it turns out Opera not only checks the domain, it also checks the protocol before it lets you use wand.
All would be fine if Opera provides a mean to edit wand passwords, something like the cookies / site preference dialog would be fine. Or at least if it would allow the password to be associated with the base domain (yahoo.com) and allow it to be used on all sub-domains. I can't remember how many times this has been requested already but still not a single word is heard from the developers.

I find that I can't log on to any of my Yahoo accounts. Though I've used Opera exclusively since Opera 5 (which I had to pay for), it looks like I'm going to have to change my default browser to Firefox or (shudder) IE. I use one of those Yahoo addresses as my "public" address to many sources, and, frankly, it will be easier to change browsers than all those email addresses. I guess not enough of us are bothered about this problem to inspire the folks on Norway to address it.
I use XP Home Edition, Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.111025-1629 (Service Pack 3) and, currently Opera 11.64.
I can't say I have any problems logging into Yahoo Mail - thought I don't use Wand, just type in the password. Perhaps you are using the Mail beta, which had problems (still does? It's beta, so I'm not sure how much Opera can support something not released yet).

I've just checked, both yahoo mail and hotmail login fine. If you're using wand, then you've to re-enter your passwords because of the reasons I mentioned above. Hotmail seems to have redirected the login to live.com, so again your wand passwords will be lost.
For those who are having problems logging into any of the accounts, it's probably due to yahoo & hotmail's use of third party cookies. Especially those of you that have been using Opera for some time. Opera 9 has already defaulted to accept all cookies, so yahoo & hotmail should work fine right away.
kennyboy, deleting opera6.ini is the same as reverting to the new default settings, there's probably something from earilier version that prevent Opera 9 from logging in, most probably cookie settings.

For this case, I should've replied a long time ago. I think I got the solution from a sticky from Opera, and probably the rest of you too.
You have to accept cookies to login to Hotmail and Yahoo!. And not just from the login-page (altering the settings for that page only doesn't work, you will have to accept cookies from several sites associated with Hotmail/MS. Which pages? Hell if I know. I am no developer, I just consider myself somewhat talented.) So, I have to have a global setting allowing cookies from everyone. Now that I run Ubuntu Linux, I don't worry about it anymore, as there are practically nothing malicious written for Linux, but while on XP, I worried all the time, each time I went to another site.
The solution: Accept cookies.
