It would be funny if this was a mistake and the FTP contained a "bad" copy of Opera 7.10. bigsmile

Ok, maybe not that funny. sad

Personally, I'm an old man and I can contain my excitement. I'll wait until they officially announce it on the web site.

This is why I like Opera, the development cycle blows Mozilla out of the water. And it doesn't have a whole bunch of crap that's not needed.

Thanks to the people at Opera, I'm a registered user because you're browser kicks so much ass.
Check out my site, because I'm rad and I'm more popular than that hippy dude named Jesus who died on a cross in Mexico or Cuba or wherever like a million years ago.

Smooth zooming seems to work quite well. Take a look at the wrap.png image attachment in this thread and see the difference when you zoom out (to less than 100%).

It does on mine. If I zoom in on the v-Bulletin logo, say around 300% or so, and change the option in preferences and hit "Apply" I can see the difference.

Not phenomenal, but it is certainly doing something.

If you want a shortcut to open the cookie manager, do this:

- Open Preferences->Mouse and keyboard
- Edit keyboard setup "Opera Standard"
- Create a new entry under Application:
Shortcut: c alt
Action: Manage cookies

Next time you want to open the cookie window, press Alt+C

(not sure if that helped wink

Thanks for the tip. But what I wanted was shortcut keys to the "accept cookie?" window like in versions before 7.10. It's pain in the ass to tab to or point and click the buttons, while it could and should be done with just a single key press (preferably with alt pressed as in Linux version of Opera 6 so it wouldn't accept unwanted cookies when the dialog pops up while typing). And while fixing that, the window could also enable keyboard access to the cookie details text field and the text field could also be scrollable with keyboard.

Sounds like the problem varies depending on OS or maybe even video card drivers.

I also noticed that for some images the smoothing works for some levels of zooming and not for others.

And then there is the problem of partially working smoothing, happens when panning the image or when the image is downloading (example attached).

One thing I noticed when installing 7.1 final afresh (after wiping out previous betas) on Win XP Pro is that it does not give the option of multi-user / multi-profile installation any more.

Accordingly, it also did not create a profile under C:\Documents And Settings\<My username>\Application Data as before. I cannot find the bookmarks file anywhere, either.

What's up with that?

Yup, there's something fishy in installation. I installed 7.10 final on top of beta3 (not recommended, I guess, but so far has worked flawlessly) and somehow lost my opera6.ini (I was not given an option to select single/multiple user installation). Opera then started in default mode. Luckily I had an backup copy of my original opera6.ini file, so after little fiddling I'm a happy camper now...

CookiePal still not working with Opera7.10...

Right click on your fields dialog and click "reset toolbar" and the clock field will magically apear and u can drag it somewhere.
(reseting the customize toolbar fields is sometimes needed when installing over old version or copying old settings/profile to the new version of Opera, I think).

NEVERMIND, I had to drag and drop the clock from my customize toolbar section (under fields tab), disregard the above.

U did this:
View->Customize Toolbars->Fields->Right Click on Empty Space->Reset toolbar
And it didn't help (no word "clock" in lower right corner of the Customize Toolbars window)?
Can u check your Opera build number again? (should be 2840)

As has been described earlier, right click on a toolbar to activate the "Customize toolbars..." window. Then go to the "Fields" tab. There should be a string "Clock" near the bottom right of the window. Drag this anywhere you want to see the clock placed at.
