button - to change how opera startsis there a custom button that switches how opera starts up.
for example I usually have it set to start with 'saved sessions',
however there are certain occasions when I would like it to start - 'continuing from the previous session'
it would be great to have a button that would easily switch between the two.
without having to go through the preferences dialog box
Use saved session = 0
Use home page = 2
Continue from last time = 3
No windows or pages = 4
Show startup dialog = 5
UI? Preferences > General
A toggle button probably isn't possible, you'd need either two separate buttons or one of those combo buttons (you know, "Click for Use home page, press and hold for Continue from last time").
Set preference, "User Prefs|Startup Type=3" + Set preference, "User Prefs|Startup Type=0"
If you have a particular image you'd like on the button (rather than just text), you'd add that before the "+".
If you want to try a toggle and see if it works, that would look like:
Set preference, "User Prefs|Startup Type=3" | Set preference, "User Prefs|Startup Type=0"
button is the toggle (which I don't expect to work), and
button is the combo button.
Edit: That's strange ... the toggle does work, and the combo button doesn't.
I could use something like:
Set preference, "User Prefs|Startup Type=3",,,"image1" | Set preference, "User Prefs|Startup Type=0"to specify that image1 be used, or also
Set preference, "User Prefs|Startup Type=3",,,"image1" | Set preference, "User Prefs|Startup Type=0",,,"image2"to change between image1 and image2, but not having any good icons for the startup options I left it as text only.
