Welcome on board!

Welcome to Dev Opera, a place where you'll find <a href="http://dev.opera.com/articles/">web development articles</a> as well as resources like a <a href="http://dev.opera.com/libraries/">library of advanced JavaScript functions</a> ready to use. Dev Opera is an offshoot of <a href="http://my.opera.com">My Opera community</a> so if you are already a member just join in the discussions, or <a href="http://dev.opera.com/articles/info/">add an article of your own</a>.

We are still building this place so be prepared for some noise and dust while we're working. If you find problems or have ideas for improvements, please tell us in the beta thread.

Our first theme is <a href="http://dev.opera.com/articles/svg/">Scalable Vector Graphics</a> (SVG), a graphical format that actually has been around for a while, but which only recently has come into attention for Web applications. Web browsers like Opera and Firefox are now supporting it, and the last few months combining SVG with the Web at large has been a heated topic discussed in the <a href="http://w3.org/">W3C</a> and elsewhere.

The libraries look very useful, but i find myself stumped on how to use them...

It would be very handy if the libraries had some usage examples and live demos...

@d4n3: This is indeed going to happen before the site leaves beta, but we've (The Web Applications team) have been extremely busy with a number of other commitments, and so we never got the time to do this before this release.

Very new to using Opera, still have Firefox ready to go......seems I'm having problems with pages loading.....like when I'm on Tinypic.com the images never change when I want to see the latest....any reason why this would happen with Opera and not Firefox? Appreciate any suggestions.........I was using Opera last week without that problem , had to reformat and now the problem exists........Shiva

I found opera mini mod 2.06 which give me much more facilities then opera mini 4. But the browsing speed of opera mini mod isn't well. And its doesn't have the pc view. But i also want those. Can developers upgrade opera mini as like opera mini mod with high speed browsing and pc view?

I would like to suggest a more intuitive forum software.
It is very hard to "navigate" to a specific section.

How do you get to the dragonfly forum section from the forum root page?

Why did you take out the dictionary toolbar in Opera 9.5!? I used it more often when I knew a word but was unsure about how to spell it. Now it's gone and I want to complain about it's absence. I know there is a dictionary on right click but when I'm writing emails in Opera's mail client and I'm unsure of the spelling of a word, that context menu will not help me at all!! Bring back the dictionary field for the toolbars, please!

And also I know this is probably not the place to be asking it, you might want to make your feature request area a little easier to find, that is, if you have one!
