Opera 9.10 steals focus from the current web page if another is loaded!

Also when another web site is loaded, Opera steals focus from the web site I was visiting. It pops up the web site that just loaded.

I dunno where to put this, because I wonder if this is a bug or not.

you can edit javascript preferences to stop "raising of tabs". I think it is somewhere in preference>advanced>content>javascript option.

But some websites are coded such that it is auto highlighted. I am not sure if it can be prevented that way.

Also, when you open link, do middle click so that tab will be opened in background.

Also, when Opera is minimised, if another web page is loading, it maximises by itself!

Same annoyance that K-Meleon has. The people over at K-Meleon call it the "pop-up" bug.

OK. Is that really Javascript-related?

Excellent information Tamil, as I've noticed around other threads, you are very helpful. These tips sure make Opera a very customizable and friendly browser to use. With 9.10 supporting Gmail, its now the only browser I use.
