His blog was pretty spammy as well - basically that coomment was a duplicate of his latest post. Gone.

He's promoting some kind of movie site.

I hope this doesn't start a trend: he's spamming me by reporting as offensive normal posts in a forum I moderate.

I don't know, in that he doesn't link to any software. Only thing I can think of is that he's trying to make money from referrals to amazon. He posted almost the same comment in a forum post but without the other link ... no, that's almost the same link I get by searching on Amazon's site, so there's no referral. Guess it's okay then.

It was the way it didn't seem to follow the rest of the comments and that it looked like a cut-and-paste that flagged it for me.

I guess that reference to KompoZer is his sig. rather than another block of copying that's just missing the link.

It does sound spammy, but if so I can't tell what he's selling - which isn't very effective. Especially his use of "$" for "S" and all.

Compare to his forum post ... the latter is only about half of the blog comment, and pretty much verbatim, but nothing suspicious there except the Amazon link. Unless he's the book author, it seems to be within the TOS even if it is a very strange way to do it.

Too bad the feature to automatically delete comments when bannning someone is broken ... he also spammed the forums, and is already banned - all I can do.

That's not a comment, that's a forum post. Also, I'm not sure whether that's just supposed to be his sig. Okay, he's off-topic, but it doesn't really sound like he's selling anything ... or maybe he's going to write an article on Dragonfly, but he needs to work on his English?

I'll keep an eye on him, but I really can't say he did anything wrong yet ...

Hit by 'Annoymos #1", got many links to external sites. Guess you can't delete him since he's annonymos, but he/she's posted a lot of spam comments in many of my blog posts. Is there a way you guys can delete them? If not, I'll go delete them manually. p

Not exactly spam, but coxy is promoting piracy of a perfectly good game. (The rest of the discussion is alright, with links to the developer's website and to a demo version.)

I'll presume coxy was just being sarcastic. Can't do much about anonymous posters myself, we'll see if the admins can find the IP or some such ...

Doesn't really seem like spam from 1 message, and he provided a link to a free, open source program which did what was being discussed ...

He could be a spammer, but I can't prove it yet. I'll wait ...

Unfortunately only an admin can search for comments, I'd have to leave it for one of them. But I think we can presume he is - the links certainly have nothing to do with the widget.

He's probably some loser posting via an anonymous site but could just as easily be a couple of kids being clever after school. They need sharp dealings with whatever, if that is possible.
