I need _blank pages in tabs, but popup out of the main window
Hello. I saw many questions about tabs and window, but I've not seen purpose as complicated as mine. Sorry about my english, I'm french, and using french Opera; nobody is perfectFor this time, I've got the option allow windows without tag checked, and open windows instead of tabs unchecked. It works fine for new pages with target="_blank". I've got my pages into tabs, great. But with "popup" windows, it's another story. When I open a popup, it set it up with a tab, with a window inside the browser.
- I know that I can do a right click, and open in a new window, but there is some weird behaviors with this : it opens one browser per popup. It doesn't respect the javascript name of the window. And it doesn't respect the size of the popup. So this isn't a good solution for me.
- Use popup in a tab could be a solution, but i find very annoying that I can't move popups out of the Opera main Window (in my second screen for example).
So I'm between to solutions which doesnt satisfy me at all. is there another ?
Thank you

Welcome to Opera and the My Opera user community forums. What version and build of Opera are you using (see Help > About Opera for that info)? On what platform? What OS are you running?
Opera has a true MDI implementation (and has had it for several years now), meaning tabs and windows are clearly demarcated -- you don't get the annoying mix-and-match behavior found in other browsers. You cannot get pop-ups to open in a new window unless you also get new pages to open in separate windows (instead of a tab in the same window).
You can, however, explicitly move a pop-up (or a tab) into a separate window after it has been created. Open the Windows panel and drag the entry associated with the desired tab or pop-up outside the application.

Hi,
I re-use this topic to ask about Opera 9.5
I saw a difference of behavior with tabs. Before (Opera 9.24), when I dragged tabs out of the application, Opera placed the tab in a pop-up with the good size and without menus. Now It just drags it full size, with all the menus.
Can I do somethnig to return to 9.24 behavior.
Thanks again for help
edit : I precise that when a drog the tab, it creates a pop-up in a new Opera Window, instead of just creating a pop-up.

Not currently, sorry.
That feature is called detaching a tab. Some people used to accidentally close the window while a popup was still open, and then had no idea how to get a regular Opera window back, thus Opera decided maybe they'd better make sure that popups actually got full windows.
There's a thread in the Desktop wish-list with people asking for the old Detach behavior back, you may wish to post something there.
