Do I need jBed 3.1 to download files?
I have a BlackJack II (i617), which supposedly has JSR-75, which according to what I found from google-ing, is what I need to download/upload files. This site http://mobilezoo.biz/homepagemobile.php?uploadid=153764 along with a few others say my phone supports JSR-75. I'd prefer not to install an app that goes far into my phone, as I think jBed would, since I tried installing a new java before and had to restore my phone to factory settings to remove it.If someone could tell me jBed from this site http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17616 (the last post) is safe, I'll feel better about installing it. I have WM6, I think that caused some problems before with new java's, since they were made for an older WM, it always said that when I installed. Thanks in advance for the help.

also, there's a sticky thread about WM at the top of the forum that is worth reading.

Some people are experiencing problems with the new Jbed 3.1 and being able to download Opera Mini. The old Cloudyfa version of Jbed works great, but I think Meneissys has disabled some of the old links to it. See the MIDlet Bible above in the Stickys.

I'll quickly test the latest 3.1 version to see what the problem is caused by. I'll report back.
Sorry it took me so long to respond, it isn't an issue downloading or installing Opera. I'm having issues downloading and installing inside the Opera 4.1 beta, which I read could download files.
bob, which method are you trying: in-process download or that from the external IEM? Prefer the latter. That is, select Open, NOT Save As, upon downloading.
Menneisyys, what do you mean? If I load a page in Opera Mini 4.1, and when I try to download the file, it still sends it to IE. Not every page loads fine in IE, which is one of the reasons I use Opera over IE. When Opera sends the page to IE, the download doesn't usually load. I thought Opera Mini 4.1 had a built in download manager, which is what I'd want to use, if I could.
