Misc Problems:
Three issues please.1. Google Docs. Google docs was working except for the file rename function. (I did not do full regressions testing, there may be more wrong.) For me Calendar, gmail and docs worked "ok".
Then I read the blog entry and installed:
fix-google-services.js
Then Opera came up with message: "Mask Opera as Internet Explorer" for docs.google.com.
Now the whole thing is just broken. I removed the java script. I reset the network tab as id as opera. I closed Opera and reopened.
It is just flat broke! gmail, calendar, docs. You can't even navigate since the Google menu bar is flat gone.
How do I get back to the beginning? Uninstall Opera, delete folders, etc? aach! Don’t' answer this.
(Report, Google gmail, calendar and docs all work fine in FF2, FF3, and Safari on PC and on Mac. I don't use spreadsheet.)
So when in the grand scheme of the developers (and bus dev folks in mountain view), are they going to work out a solution to support Google users? (1)
2. "Detach Tab". I know there's another thread but no one has answered my questions. The problem as it stands is that when you get a new window you get a panel toggle. If you customize the page to get to approximate 9.27 (but with menu bar) and remove the panel toggle, it removes it for all open and subsequent windows. So you can't even customize to get close to 9.27. It's just another window, and more since it (in this function) controls the other windows.
So could someone ask the developers why we can't have our detach tab feature back? (In any form?) (2)
3. The other question that hasn't been answered. Bookmarks, whether you get them from sync or from import do not "auto" load favicons. You have to hand select every bookmark. That isn't exactly syncing. I posted about favicons before and haven't ever received an answer on what plans the developers have about this "old" issue. Lots of sites don't load that do in other browsers. Some sites only load on personal bar if you replace old bookmark with new. There is still no favicon for operamail.
Any new news on the favicon front? (3)
Thanks
PS. Sync and mail are working ok for me (again, I'm not doing regression testing). Sync is a lot faster than I thought it would be.

xp sp2
also testing on Mac 10.4.11 and Vista.
PPS. Not looking for site volunteers trying to help "ameliorate" some shortcoming in Opera by workarounds. I can solve issues on my own machines. I would, however, really like constructive and informative comments and/or feedback about present and future development plans so I can properly support my users and hopefully promote the use of Opera in Silicon Valley.
