Speed Dial - more or bigger windows?

Speed Dial - more or bigger windows?

Im using a 24" monitor, and 9 speed dial windows just isnt enough.. Im using half my screen when there is only 9 windows.

Is it possible to make more than 9 speed dial windows, or at least make the standard 9 larger??

Wow thats great. It will please many opera users. We will publicize it more.

Well you could use opera 9.5 beta 2, which is already out for testing.

I love the way you can have more speed-dial windows, but it would be even better, if it's not a "you have to edit the speeddial.ini"-trick. It would be really really nice if you can chosse in the preferences: Speeddialrows: ## Speeddial-Coloums: ##
And then they also might work with the numbers higher than 9! That would be sooooooo nice!

Also, every new upgrade ovewrites some of it: the extra windows stick, but I have to paste in the bit about opening in new window.

Just (accidentally) found a way of preserving the Speed Dial mods when updating Opera. The standard_keyboard.ini files get overwritten, so it's necessary to paste in, from a backup, the following to get the new tab per page:

3 ctrl=New page & Go to speed dial, 3
4 ctrl=New page & Go to speed dial, 4
5 ctrl=New page & Go to speed dial, 5

8 ctrl=New page & Go to speed dial, 8
9 ctrl=New page & Go to speed dial, 9
1 alt=New page & Go to speed dial, 10
2 alt=New page & Go to speed dial, 11
3 alt=New page & Go to speed dial, 12
4 alt=New page & Go to speed dial, 13
5 alt=New page & Go to speed dial, 14
6 alt=New page & Go to speed dial, 15

I tried to modify the standard_keyboard.ini so that Ctrl+F5 would work; this was a failure but did result in a new file being created: standard_keyboard(1).ini in Program Files\Opera9\profile\keyboard\ and this survives the upgrading process.

I followed some of this thread
and got to the speeddial.ini screen
and see the individual notation
for my 9 windows, but I am not
sure where to go from there.

Also I am warned not to do anything while
Opera is running...so I'm a bit confused.

Speaking of Speed Dial, is it my imagination or in 9.50, the resolution of the Speed Dial Thumbnail Pics is inferior to that of 9.27? Unless it has to do with my computer having the "Too OLD" Msimg32.dll File.

it is already asked for and I believe (and hope) they will consider it in next versions.

It's easy enough to manually edit the .ini, that's not a problem at least for me. But I noticed that Sync works with the default 9 pages only. Is it further possible to fix that? (Yeah, that's for the 'Wishlist" forum, but I prefer posting in an existig topic first )

if you have those pages added to bookmarks, it appears in bookmarks and synced. At least i see all of them. It looks like http://redir.opera.com/speeddials/?id=1 etc in my bookmark list.

Hum, I did but if I use "[" then "Size" disappeared, so I used "(" instead.

I did tried on before and after Speed Dial 1-9, nothing changed??? I do not understand or is it to do with bug with version 10103? I cannot figure out why it wont work?

I tried to add Speed Dial from 10 to 20 with Rows and Columns number, and I restarted Opera, it is nothing, and stuck with 9.

Are you using the correct 'speeddial.ini' file from your profile folder?

Yes, I did edit it in my profile folder... I still dont understand why it won't work??? Should I delete opera(?).ini to reset and default, that will solve this problem?

Ah, I just solved the problem... I deleted opera6.ini, and it came up more than 9 Speed Dials with new opera6.ini! This ini is old from 9.27 (Updated: not 9.50), affected speeddial.ini not showing up more than 9.
