Images in transfers!? AGAIN?!
I have't seen this reported anywhere so I have to ask... Is anyone else having saved images appearing in transfers, just like in buggy Opera 9.00?!25. June 2008, 00:52:21 (edited)

nope, still there.
OK, have the most recent beta (July 1) and it appears to have been removed. We will see.
There is no way this can be considered a feature or wanted behavior.

but opening a .pdf file still (v9.51) opens the transfer tab.
I cannot confirm that here, for example when opening this file. My transfers manager is set to "Never show on starting downloads", but no transfer appears in the Transfers tab.

Go to opera:config#UserPrefs|Ignore Target and tick Ignore Target box. This will prevent documents from opening in new pages.

That's interesting, I still have that file in Transfer tab after it's downloaded. I wonder how to make it not to appear there. :)

Don't show the download dialogue or save it to a download folder.
Either open it with the default application or with a plugin.

"Don't show the download dialogue" - are you referring to "Never show on starting downloads" option? I can't see such an option anywhere. And it's still there when I save it to the download folder.

Seems to be working when it's set to "open with the default application". Thanks.

of course the transfer tab should not open if you have set "Never show on starting downloads".
i have set it to "open in background tab" and i want to have the transfer tab when downloading files, so i can see how long it will last, but i do not want that transfer tab if i open(!) a .pdf file. in any case: with version 9.27 and the same setting i got no transfer tab when opening a .pdf file.
and even if i say "open pdf files always with this appication" i get that transfer tab when opening a .pdf file.
specifying a download folder is no alternative for me, because i want to save downloads sometimes in this and then in that folder.

thats a good hint - but i still get the transfer tab.
Using Opera 9.52, apparently the bug is back.
Some related problems:
- If you close the tab when the image is downloading (again) in the transfers window, the transfer stops. You can resume the transfer, which actually restarts the transfer (form the beginning). The transfer finishes, but the image is not saved !!! At least not in the place you chose, nor anywhere else that I'm aware of.
It's annoying, and a waste of time and bandwidth.
