Transfers Tab Shell Context Menu Workaround

Desperately need the Shell Context menu back in the transfer tabs? Do you have .NET 2.0 installed? Try this out!

Download: http://files.myopera.com/VJgamer/programs/OperaTransferContext.zip
Extract OperaTransferContext.exe to your Opera installation directory. (It can actually go anywhere you prefer.)

Add this line to your menu ini under [Transfers Item Popup Menu]:
Item, Shell Context Menu = Copy transfer info & Execute program, "C:\Program Files\Opera\OperaTransferContext.exe"

Don't know how to customize your menu? Check out this post courtesy of Tamil: http://my.opera.com/Tamil/blog/edit-menu-setup

After you do this, you will see a menu item when you right click on a ile in the transfers list labeled "Shell Context Menu". Click on that and you will get the Shell Context Menu!

Note: This does use the clipboard to transfer the file information.

It works for me, but I cannot dismiss the dialog without clicking an action. But still is more useful than the default new style.

Yeah, I noticed that the menu does not like to go away. You can right click on the menu, and then click back to Opera and it will disappear. I really like this setup actually. I like the new menu because it is faster, and less cluttered for me and I can still have access to Explorer's Menu!

I don't know who said you can't make extensions for Opera, you just have to be extremely clever!

The "Scan for Viruses" option no longer seems to work for me. I'm using Kaspersky Antivirus 7 (7.0.0.125) on Windows XP SP3. When I try to scan files for viruses, nothing happens, although everything else seems to work. Can anyone help?
