Search on right click context menu works sporadically and/or weirdly
Start Opera and go to a web page. (oh! hey! you're already there)1) Highlight a word and right click (or double-click the word); the context menu opens
click "Search"
Did it work? Mine doesn't work (most of the time)
BUT
2) Re-double click the same word
point to "Search with" then click "Google" (or whatever your favorite may be)
It works!
BUT here's the really weird part.
3)Go back to the original page and re-double click the
click "Search", like in step 1
If, in step 1 above, the search feature didn't work, you'll be amazed to see that it does work now (that you've passed at least once by the "Search with" path) and will continue to work on that tab. But when you open a new tab, you'll have to "de-block" the Search feature again by passing by "Search with".
Anyone else experiencing this? Bug?

What's your default search set to? Opera is supposed to use the last selected search, so step 1 should use the default and then step 3 uses whichever search you used in step 2.

I've tried a basic mouse, inactivating integrated search, and inactivating Google as the search for speed dial (a.k.a. shooting in the dark) but those didn't change anything.
If reallly no one else is having the problem (

You use a saved session? Sessions may remember their last search, but perhaps that search no longer exists?

Since it's Saturday, I'll try the clean re-install approach to see if that helps. I'll report back.

So, I just completed the clean re-install, and the problem has disappeared!
Opera's folder distribution has been completely re-done and I wonder if that had something to do with it (before I had Opera files only under C:\Program files, this is apparently no longer an option).
I'll be rebuilding my browser to my liking and if I stumble on something that sets off the problem again, I'll signal it here.
Thanks to all just the same!
