Remote debugging with Opera Dragonfly

In this article David Storey introduces the remote debugging feature of Opera Dragonfly - Opera’s new developer tools. You'll learn how to set up Opera Dragonfly for remote debugging and how to connect Opera Mobile 9.5 to Opera Dragonfly, so you can debug content running directly on it.

I tried it -- it's fantastic to see how you can "take control" on remote browser.
But how can I remotely debug a widget?

I have a HTC Touch HD (Windows Mobile 6.1 pro) with Opera 9.5 (build 2682) preinstalled.

I have tried the "opera:debug" in the addressbar, but I get an errormessage telling me that there is no such thing as "opera:debug".

Is my version a "true" Opera Mobile 9.5 b1?

Trying to bump this thread. Still no reaction to why I can't see the "opera:debug" options on my Opera Mobile 9.5 (build 2682). Anyone using remote debug at all?

Can anyone tell me how to disable the "opera:debug" in Kiosk-Mode?

The link "Debugging widgets using Opera Dragonfly and the Widget Emulator" has
a dangling redirect; the right URL, I believe, is

The HTC version of Opera Mobile (black UI) is a custom built version of 9.5 that was released before the public Opera Mobile 9.5, therefor unfortunately doesn't include opera:debug. If you install the public version from opera.com/mobile, it will work. Sorry for the very late reply, it seems that Dev.Opera doesn't email or alert authors to comments.

You're right. I've fixed the link.

Should be possible simply by disallowing opera:debug in the urlfilter.ini file.
