What office program? Many include grammar checkers ...

Google turns up any number of either online grammar checkers or free trials, the only reference I find to a free grammar checker for English is one built into the free word processor Abiword. (I did find free grammar checkers for Welsh and Irish.) :right:

I tried grammar checked built-into MS office and also tried open office before. But it turns out that they are ood for spell checker but not so good for grammar. I found winproof to be a good program but its not free.
I was wandering if anyone know similar free program ?

I would be inclined to suggest paying for WinProof if it does a good job. The Proofing tools in PagePlus are of lmited use, and probably not as good as Word's Grammar checker. It didn't spot any errors in your last sentence. Did WinProof?

Should be, "I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar free program?"

Grammatik, which is included with WordPerfect, did much better. It found three of the errors:

1. It detected the extra space before the ?
2. It suggested "a similar" for "similar"
3. It suggested "knows" for "know"

It didn't find any problem with "I was wandering if anyone knows a similar free program?"
