Add (bring back?) "Cycle in recently used order without showing list"

I've spent some time searching and it seems as if this might have been available--or a do-able tweak--in earlier versions of Opera... But I'd like to formally "Wish" for this for upcoming versions of Opera (I haven't downloaded Peregrine, so forgive me if it's already there):

"Cycle in recently used order without showing list" should be added to the "When cycling through tabs with Ctrl+Tab" drop-down list (Tools>Preferences...>Advanced>Tabs).

This could be done with even more grace by having in the drop-down list just:
"Cycle in recently used order"
"Cycle in tab bar order"
*

and then two check boxes underneath:
[ ] Show list when cycling
[ ] Show thumbnails in tab cycle list

This addition would give coherence in behavior with the Windows operating system.

*Others have suggested "cycle to the right" and "cycle to the left" also

+1 That's what exactly I thought it should be, merged 2 functions together will always bring disaster... It would be better to separate both into 2 individual function/option.

OFF TOPIC:
The same thing happened with tooltips, tab's preview, & Status bar - why can't they be 3 separate options? :irked:

There has always been an option in opera:config for how "without showing list" worked, they only changed the default settings. Apparently they haven't updated the online manual, it still says that in Windows "Most recently viewed" is the default, but it has been there for some time.

Try setting opera:config#UserPrefs|AlternativePageCycleMode to 0.

Cool! Thanks Steve, that indeed does the job

I'll stick by my original argument nonetheless, that this should be accessible in "Preferences" and not just in the config menu.
