They have this option at a garden forum in user cp. Its fine and works well but you don't see who is asking to be friends on the forums. You visit *A* name on the forums which allows you to look at their friends list.
I see a friend's request as someone who asks *you* to be a friend. If you ask a member to be *your* friend it feels like begging in a way.I am sure we all at Opera have friends anyway.
