Saved pages on mobiles

Just recently when i open the OM application on my mobile the "saved pages" was disappeared, how it happened? Previously i'm always went to my saved pages because i found it easy just reload the page instantly im in the site i wish to visit. My trouble now i can't access those saved pages on my mobile phone with OM application but checking the folder where i stored all are still there. Please help, what i need to do.

Did you recently uninstall/reinstall opera or upgrade?
I'm not sure what would cause this?

Try this go to Bookmarks and select Saved Pages
then press Manage and select Set Folder and navigate to the folder you have saved the pages in earlier.

Thanks for your help. I did all what you said yes i can access it and viewed. But the time im exit the application and re-open again the same thing happen the "saved pages" button is no longer in the OM display window. I had some presumption that maybe there is any size limit of amount of data only allowed to stored?

I'm not aware of any size limits for saved pages, I guess it just depends on how much memory you've got on the phone.
But if the issue happens everytime you start Opera Mini it sounds like a different problem.
can you tell us what the screen displays when starting?
Is it loading normally or does it say installing?

Its open normally but what i said previously the "saved pages" button is not present in the OM window. Im using latest version of OM 4.2.

have you tried reinstalling Opera Mini?

If you have changed your external memory card, the saved pages will not show up. Why? Because none of the pages are saved on the new memory card. So if you've recently upgraded or changed memory cards, that's the likely reason. Instead of saving pages, bookmark them instead. That way, it doesn't matter what memory card is in your phone.

In my case i didnt change my external memory card, sad to say i still can't access those saved pages on my phone.

how can I back up the saved pages? where it s saved in memmory card? in wat format it ill be saved?

What OS and OM version are you using?
OM uses Opera's own file format in a few .obml versions - depends from OM version.
If you already have saved pages in a phone memory as .obml files, you can copy them like any regular files to external storage and PC.
Generally, OM saves pages in a "Other" folder but it depends from OS and phone manufactuer. You can set up different folders for different saved pages as you wish.

Hi,
I don't have this phone, so I can't specify the exact location of this folder.
I have a few Sony Ericsson cells and for all of them the default folder for OM saved pages is the "Other".
Open the file manager in W8 and look for the .obml16 files in folders, both in the phone memory or on the card.
This files have numerical indication, ie 12345678. Set the display of files by type (Sort by type).
In this thread Link users of higher version of Android and other mobiles point out this path to the saved pages.
/data/data/com.opera.mini.android/files/xxxxxxxx.obml16
Another way, tap in the OM 7: Settings - Advanced - Saved pages folder. You'll see a window with indication of the place for stored .obml16 files - saved pages, such as memory type, folder / subfolder.
In practice, the changing folders for different saved pages is a pain, it's weak point of OM 7.
Much easier to do it in a lighter versions of Opera.

Folks, i may've made my 1st post somewhere here a few days ago but cant find it now. It mightve related 2 loss of om6. Anyway this thread look like a poss good place 2 try 2 get my question ans'd, (which been lookn for near a month now) since for me it also relates 2 the saved pages question here. And i might have someth 2 offer about that as well.

1st, my question: does any1 have any idea why my vm510 (rumor touch) lost ability 2 open om6? I had been runnin it evr since it came out & found it SO good didnt even bother w/anyth else.

Approx 3 wks ago, suddenly, it wouldnt open anymore. Loading bar stops short & will never load/open.

So happens that i had tried "om next" when it bcame avail. yet 4 some reason i had deleted it. I remembered now, that it installed seperately rather than an overwrite. I had a very hard time finding it again but finally did & installed & am using now. The main reason i did so as opposed 2 installing the now avail. regular ver 7, is i was afraid of losing all my bookmarks & saved pages, of which i had built quite a collection, since i have been forced 2 use this phone as a sub for pc for over a yr now. I cant access those bkmks/saved pps since i can no longer open om6. "om next" (which is actually om7) works/looks much the same as 6 did, (plus the new features), but have been having major problems w/connectivity, whereas had very little of that w/6. I dont know if thats coincidental or an issue w/7?

In any event, i have tried, unsuccessfully, to find 6 & install it, tho i realize that maybe doesnt make much sense cuz even if i DID find it, dont know if it wud somehow allow me to reinstall & at same time STILL HAVE my old bookmks/saved pps.

Dont know if thats even plausable, but regardless, EVERY ATTEMPT i have made to find & dload 6, winds up either auto. going to 7, or, on any avail. list of other previous versions that i have found, such as on the om site, 6 no longer seems 2 exist!? Its as tho it was "raptured"! I can find 3, 4, 5 & 7, but no 6, on any dload list. Easy 2 find references to & links to 6, but as i said, soon as you try them, 6 isnt there & 7 is.

So, thankful that i could refind & reinstall "next" (even w/the hi % of "hangs" & no connects), but what the hell happened to 6?

I have, ever since my 6 started to not work (its still installed) searched & searched the net, for ANY reference WHATSOEVER 2 this issue, 2 NO avail. Have also searched here within opera & operamini sites & forums, thinking SURELY this is a major issue & must be addressed here SOMEWHERE? But no...not as much as a mention of this issue, in any way, shape or form, have i found so far. Unbelieveable..this seems to me! If it was done on purpose or as a result (somehow?) of new 7 release, how/why could it come w/absolutely no warning, esp when it means ppl automatically, instantly, w/o warning, LOSE THEIR ENTIRE bookmarks & saved pps.

It just doesnt seem to make any kind of sense 2me that such wouldve occurred, on purpose and/or as a result from om process of doing things???

I believe i mayve asked some1 else here about thi, days ago, as i discovered & signed up 2 use this forum, but was afraid i might not b abl 2 find my way back, for any possib reply, so i left my email addy. But havent heard from anobody.

I have since, been able to remember a portion, at least, of the lost bookmarks & have also found my way to recover many, if not all, of the lost saved pps.

Thats why i chose this thread for above story & question of: does ANYONE know what happened?...bcuz i saw here that ppl have lost or having trouble recovering their saved pages (as a seperate problem from how it occurred for me).

I noticed the bunch of ".ombl16" files had been accumulating on my card. Didnt know for a long time, what they were. Finally surmised maybe theyr the saved page files. I know now, thats the case, but i had a diffic time proving it & ultimately recovering those pages.

Not knowing at 1st, what they were for, i had taken to stuffing them in an "other" (which i created on card) folder, for safekeeping. But when i installed "om next" & clicked saved pps button, nothin was there. I tried (in desperation) to start pushing the saved pps buttons & reselecting, over & over again, the memory card choice, 4where the pps should go. After a certain # of attempts goin thru that cycle BOOM! a few recent saved pps appeard So i kept tryin, hoping 2 coax more of them 2 start appearing. But what happend instead was the 1st coupl ones that appeared began 2 go away & reappear as i kept tryin this process. Couldnt underst why this was occurring but it led 2 thinkin about the folder ("other") i'd stuffd most but not all of the files, which led me 2 think about how they orig WERE NOT auto. sent 2 any folder but simply 2 the card root. I then tried
creating a SAVED PAGES folder in CAPS bcuz THATs the trick 2unlocking this phone 2take 3rd party apps.

That didnt work in THIS CASE so i took ALL the .ombl files I had & removd them frm folders & put on card root (memory. Then mind u i STILL had2 cycle thru the savd pps button & memory card folder choice (NOT in a subfolder) & THEN (but not all at once, i had to cycle a few times) FINALLY, ALL my saved pps reappeared!

Then i tested this by puttin the files back in folders & also w/o any card (as i noticed the list of pages stayed after removal of card). Found card MUST b in & no subfolder used (to actually OPEN the saved pps).

I just want to add: that further perusal of these forum topics, led me to find 1 thread, where 6 & 6.1 are indeed listed/linked...however, those are not given in a zip, therefore i cant use. My phone wont allow dloading a .jad/.jar, so it must be zip. (i realize the distinct possibility/probability that if/when i should indeed find 6 again, that dloading/installing it would likely spite my quest to rerieve 1) ability to open the installed version, likely for same [whatever?] reason(s) the one i had quit working & 2) or it would simply overwrite my already installed but non-openable 6, thereby wiping out those lost bookmarks/saved pages. I also thought of possibility of the name-changing procedure (should i find 6 again), to thwart the overwright, but that likely would also NOT incl the missing bookmks/saved pps.

So bottom line is that i wish that someone would please see thru my overly long previous post (sorry, i try to not do that but cant seem to help it..) & give any insight they have to the question of WHAT HAPPENED TO MY ABILITY TO OPEN MY INSTALLED v6?
