(6284) No Flash!
As I did when I used a PC, I've kept Opera 9.64 around -- mostly for stable email. Now that I'm back on a Mac you'd think it would be smooth sailing. Indeed, it pretty much has. But I've hit a big bump in the road:
The Flash plug-in doesn't seem to be working... Is this a known-issue? Or might I have fouled up the installation? (It works in 9.64...
I'm loathe to give up the speed and new features of 10 alpha!
Help, please... :broken-heart:
This iBook was recently up-graded from 3.7 to 3.9 (including the Java update), if that makes a difference...?
Also, I wouldn't ask except that this OS hasn't been able to install/run any later snapshots.

Aw... Started again with Flash 9.This time, I quit Opera before placing the files in the Internet Plug-ins folder. Started 'er up again, and Vìola! (That's French for "Yup: I screwed up the install...") Did I mention, it's good to be back on a Mac?
Thanks to those who viewed this thread: I consider that "hand-holding" of a sort, and I appreciate it.
(And thanks to the mod who promptly removed my double-post... Enough folk already know, what an idiot I can be! No need to leave blatant proof right out in the open any longer than necessary.)
But -since we're here- does anyone know why builds later than (6284) crash on start-up or fail to install?
I'm really looking forward to the 10 beta, and -of course- the final! While it's been a bumpy ride so far, it's also been great fun!
