Problems sigining into hotmail on my Nokia
I've been accessing hotmail for the last half year on my nokia 6600 slide with no problems whatsoever. Then as of yesterday, I can't log in and I need this desperately to access work emails. I have updated the opera browser to the latest version, I have nokia's latest firmware update but still nothing. Hotmail is still working but very badly via my o2 browser. It's always been slower there and can't reply to emails or delete etc which is why I switched to opera. I get as far as the log in page, the bar at the bottom shows as processing but then it just stays there just before halfway and never goes further. Please can someone advise, greatly appreciated.

hi there,
just to let you know you are not the only one. i have the same problem for about last 2-3 days, so seems like it's some kind of bug... I have reported it, will see if I get any reply. Can't access the hotmail itself, only the main page for msn live.
hopefully we hear/find out a bit more soon.
good luck!

Hi guys, i have a t-mobile sony ericsson w580i, with opera mini of course, and haven't been able to access my hotmail account for at least 24 hours now. I've been searching the web for a fix but apart from here, there's no information anywhere else about this problem, help!

I really don't want to have to erase all my bookmarks and stuff so if there's any idea that doesnt involve re-installing the browser, please let me know. J.

Also having the same trouble with hotmail on samsung u600, started yesterday. Can't access via built-in browser either, says hotmail not available at the moment please try later. May not be related but messenger via laptop/desktop isn't showing either pop-up alerts to new email, or showing the number of unread emails on the envelope icon of main MSN window. Have not found anything in regards to MSN service status etc but think it's hotmail problem and not browser based. Especially as all other mobile live reviep function ok. Grrr!

Hi all, so far no replies as far as fix. Couldn't find anything either searched everywhere. The closest I ever got - that it could be something to do with java. I did reinstall opera mini but nothing has change. The bookmarks you have don't have to be lost if you sinc your phone with your computer or get opera link. but at this moment its just waste of time to install opera mini over again as no changes are seen. I tried to actually install older version too, no luck. All this on Nokia E71. Tried Nokia 6120, nothing either. Must be a bug within opera mini itself or something to do with microsoft and loading in other browser... No clue!
Well good luck to all of us to have it fixed soon I don't wanna change into some angry crazy woman who smashed her phone against the wall or somebody's head

I have a Sony Ericsson C902 with Opera Mini which I've had no problem accessing my hotmail through up until
Monday!. Now I either get a blank page or an Oops. I can access the live page but not the mail. Whats changed?

Have kept on trying, two phones both with latest and older versions of opera mini, but no joy. Starts processing, hangs at about quarter of the status bar then after a while takes me to opera trouble with network page, which if i troubleshoot tells me i have a working connection. All other mobile live services are working. Just not hotmail/livemail. Grrr. Not even via builtin browsers. Does anyone know how to report this issue to microsoft? If enough ppl contact them complaining it might prompt them to fix it?!

I was having the same problem so now when i need to check my email i just use opera mini 3 to log into hotmail and it works fine. . . . Its not as good as opera mini 4 but if any body desperately needs to see their emails they should try it untill the om4 bug is fixed.

ok guys, check out this article on vodafone and hotmail,
http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/breaking/2009/0522/breaking57.html?via=mrI'm with t-mobile myself but they haven't been much help, only referring me to Opera support, however this report actually makes perfect sense to me. When i signed in to hotmail I was able to view others emails for a short while last year, nice to see they finally noticed and decided to act on it but a little notice would've been nice

anyone directly contacted microsoft/hotmail yet? not had time myself, just wanted to give you a heads up on this article i came across.

Just wanted to thank all of u. I know the prob hasn't yet been fixed but i've installed opera 3 now which works totally fine with hotmail, so thanks for that Blaze106. Opera 3 is nowhere near as good as opera 4 but i was pleased and relieved to see that my phone has kept both versions so i'm just using 3 for hotmail now and 4 for everythin else. This seems like a good option if u really need to access hotmail and if u do want to keep opera 4, just make sure u don't replace it, just install opera 3 as well if u can. And thanks to dragrace7 for the opera link info as i'd spent ages previously adding back my bookmarks. Hopefully opera 4 will be sorted eventually though. Thanks again everyone... :-)
