After Internet Explorer 7, microsoft will stop making this browser (They say its a security risk
After that Microsofts' main browser will be MSN Explorer which really can't compete with opera

- Added "Personalbar Edit Item Popup Menu" section
This is great(!) but, what if I want to save even more screen space by putting my links in the address bar (with "text on right" enabled so I'll know what I'm clicking on...)... The option to enter a link's Properties is not available. Or is it? How do I add this option to my own setup?

bug 122482 (right click-open) fixed
bug 124611 (images in popups not showing until refreshed) NOT fixed

New bug: favicon strangely corrupted.
Visit [url]http://miranda-im.org/download/index.php?action=display&id=2 for an example of all 3 above bugs
Edit: no really it is a bug in transparent images (gifs?) animated too: [url]http://my.opera.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29617

Nice!! I haven't expected it to happen ever, as like in case of Java problem - I thought it just has to be this way - is unfixable on the side of Opera..

Smoooth...

Nice!! Opera gets more and more customizable. Now if one feels comfortable with Javascript text in his status field, s/he can switch it on. It was hardcoded to supress such activity up till now.
And what are these raise and lower actions for? What will happen if I disable them - JS will not force focus? What else? (I don't know JS, I do not create pages)
Altogether - another very impressing beta.
But enough of bugs left for beta10. Like: Upload progress bar is still broken, Ellipsis in center is still not in Preferences, as well as Windows cycle option is still not fixed (illogical "withouth showing list" is on the list instead of a seperate checkbox and "as on tabs" order is not added), lacking Next 250 messages button, focusing on last instead on first message in M2 while sorting descending and none of my around 30 other bugs have been fixed yet.
Including very unsmooth scrolling of pages with large images - should be solved to scroll as smoothly as in IE!! And misleading name for "Low resources usage mode" option - currently known as "Smooth drawing of images". And this option should be switched off by default!!
And to give some fresh bug-meat - we have a premiere here (not reported to BTS yet):
Delete private data window does not include Notes and mails (so that action of removing mail is not too time consuming, just all files in mail folder may be cleared - on lower level that mail-by-mail).
I use Notes and also set up my e-mail account to get my latest mails, when I'm in internet caffee and I certainly want them all deleted when I'm done.
Notes and mails are certainly more "private" than already available options like bookmarks visited time or visited links... Therefore I believe it's a must to include these two options there until 7.20 Final to make this option perfect - without any lacks.

It's not just you... it 'feels' like that fastest yet.
Very promising.

Seems so

Faster? Yes, I Think So!!!

Subjectively it seems faster but it is hard to say for sure. Firebird still beats Opera out on quite a few pages on my PC but Opera does seem quicker with this build.

But: try putting the page bar on left or right and open up lots of pages. The bottom ones still get lost, no way to get to them from the bar. (Bug report submitted long time ago.) Doesn't matter to me though, I wouldn't use it that way.![]()
Are you saying the Page bar extenders don't work when you choose left or right, or that you didn't know what they were? On the standard (Top) page bar, when you have many windows opened and extenders enabled, an arrow is displayed, you click on it for a list of the other windows. Try it. Right-click on the Page bar and select Show extender. Then open 40 pages.
