how do I download Opera Mini to PC for transfer to Blackberry 8700cI purchased an unlocked BB 8700c to use next summer in Europe. I want to load Opera Mini onto the BB for use as its browser when I get a SIM card in Europe that supports Internet access. Currently the device does not have Internet access, only phone and SMS. So I am trying to get the browser onto the BB via a PC download, for transfer to the device using the BB Desktop Manager. Opera Mini offers an option to download to PC, then transfer to BB device. However, the file that is downloaded from Opera.com is a zipped file that the BB does not recognize. Unzipped it turns into two separate files that look like gobbledegook. SO... how do I download something that can be transferred to the BB, that the BB can recognize, using the PC as intermediary? Opera's instructions seem to have left out some essential steps!
When I get the SIM that includes Internet access I might be able to use the current Cingular browser but it's possible that Cingular has limited its browser in some way that I won't discover until I get there, by which time it will be too late.

The "gobbledegook" are the two files - .alx and .cod - that Desktop Manager needs for installation to your BB device. Make sure you're using a program capable of unZIPping .ZIP files properly.
I've used the Desktop Manager Application Loader to install another App but this required no further action by the BB device, except to receive it.
Should I use the same Desktop Manager function (App Loader) or is there another way to do this using a different Desktop Manager function?
Have to admit I am a bit confused.
Once you get apn settings
Go to options>advanced>tcp and fill them..
Opera mini will start working..
If you get many annoying popups while using opera mini then go options>advanced>applications>opera mini and then set all permissions to allow...
That's all..happy browsing
