Opera 7.50 Preview 3 for Windows available
Opera 7.50 Preview 3 for Windows is available for download. As usual, discuss the new version in opera.beta and in the my.opera.com Beta Testing forum. Please do not distribute the download link directly, but link to the post in opera.beta or in the my.opera.com Beta Testing forum.Due to the experimental nature of this release, upgrading a previous Opera installation is not recommended. If you'd like to test your mail from 7.23 in this release, delete the \Opera\Mail\ folder, then copy your entire Mail folder from 7.23 to your 7.50 Preview 3 installation.

=== Major New Features ===
* New - Chat File Transfer *
Opera Chat now has the ability to send and receive files from other chat clients. To initiate a transfer, right-click another user's nickname in the nick list and choose "Send file...". Transferred files will display in the Transfers panel/window with a green down arrow if they're downloads and a red up arrow if they're uploads.
* Manage Dialogs are Back! *
After a lot of valuable feedback, the Manage dialogs for Bookmarks, Contacts, Links, and History, as well as the Transfer window, are back. They can be accessed by their keyboard shortcuts or from the Tools menu. The maximized panels are still available too, and can be activated using their Ctrl+Shift+# (0 to 9) keyboard shortcuts or by double-clicking on the panel selector button.
* Drastically Improved Threading *
Threading of e-mail and newsgroup messages should be greatly improved with this release. There were some serious problems, especially when you started a thread.
* SDI Feels the Love *
SDI has received some much-needed attention. For instance, keyboard shortcuts for opening and closing pages and windows have been improved and windows close when you close the last page. It should be a much more comfortable experience for SDI users.
* Fixed Margin Collapsing Issues *
The display issues at LiveJournal.com have been fixed. Other web pages that had large gaps since 7.50 Preview 1 should also display better now.
* New - System Tray Icon *
For even better notification of new messages (and perhaps more later), Opera now has a system tray icon. When you receive new messages in the Unread view, it will change to an envelope. You can also focus or exit Opera from the icon's context menu.
* Better Message Selection *
Opera now does a better job displaying the message most relevant to you when you open a Mail view. Selected messages are also remembered across sessions, so you'll never again have to find the message you were looking at last time you used Opera.
A detailed list of changes is available at [url]http://snapshot.opera.com/windows/w750p3.html#detail (NOTE: updated URL).

Thank you guys, I really missed the transfer window.

I finally got my systray mail notification, thanks Opera!!!
If you make the icon only appear when new mail is waiting I will be completely happy.
PS. Btw, nice coincidence, today is my birthday - thanks for the present.

Confirmed. Also, they appear to have gone from the address bar.
Favicons on panels is VERY cool, though! It makes custom panels MUCH more of a proposition

AI Roboform Support
Junyor,Does Opera have any plans to offer suport for Siber Systems' AI RoboForm? This is critical for me, since my disability requires me to use much more powerful features than Wand provides.
RoboForm is compatible with practically any other browser or add-on, but its developers say that despite repeated requests Opera has not provided them with the necessary APIs. I hope this will change; Opera is my favorite browser, but I'm often forced to use Internet Explorer.
Thank you for your consideration.

Thank god the old transfer panel is back! As much as I adore Opera the web browser, I sometimes wonder if Opera the company listens to its users. Nice to see that it dos; sometimes
Ok the tray icon is cool and everything and no doubt indispensable for M2 users, but for people using opera as a browser only, it’s a bit of an annoyance
Favicons in the pagebar haven’t disappeared completely but they have certainly become scarce

If you search the forum for "roboform", you will find numerous discussions on this, and information about RoboForm and Opera.

It's a long changelist, so somebody has been very busy indeed.
Let's see who's first to seriously break it.

A suggestion for the system tray icon - how about adding a "check mail" option to the right click menu, useful if Opera is minimised. Also, when new mail icon is displayed, it would be good if double clicking it took you into M2's unread view

I got this working in preview 2 by following some instructions on here, you have to edit the URL file type in "folder options" in the tools menu in windows explorer. Trouble is I forget exactly what i did! If you highlight URL in the list and click advanced, then highlight "open" and click edit *I think* what i did was take out whatever was in the "DDE message" box.

It is not optional once you opt for SDI
If you just stick to the default MDI, you can get pageless windows like always.

try www.ilrezzonico.it
haavard - seems bug #137633 is still there and crashes Opera straight away.
Do you need a new stack dump file sent?
