Opera running slowly
I upgraded to 10.51 recently and all was working beautifully for a couple of days. Yesterday onwards, however, it started browsing really, really slowly. Google seems to work ok but browsing to webpages, they hang about half-way through. IE still browses as it usually does to all webpages so I know it's not the Internet connection.I've also checked the proxy server settings - that's all fine - and nothing has been installed/uninstalled from the transition from working fine to running slowly.
Anyone got any ideas of what else I can try?
You mention that you looked at your proxy settings. Does this mean that you are using a proxy?
Does enabling or disabling HTTP 1.1 for the proxy in "Preferences > Advanced > Network > Proxy Servers" work?

I had been experiencing similar problems on the University network. Initially I thought maybe there was a compatibility issue with the new version of Opera and their network but then I found the same problem at another Uni which also used a proxy server.
I followed the advice and enabled HTTP 1.1 and now all seems to be ok, thanks
