Opera 10.51, the slowest version of Opera history
I installed new version few days ago but I regret about it. About fresh start; 10.10 is opening in 3-4 seconds but 10.51 opening in minimally 15- 16 seconds. Also when I'm surfing, it's slowing too much then 10.10. It's using more ram, when I close a pdf page, suddenly 10.51 freezing. Sorry for my english. Some replies:
- 10.51 loads just as fast as 10.10 on a fresh start of the browser, on my Athlon. 10.51 is also much faster than 10.10 when surfing. I don't know why your 10.51 is slower. If I were you, I would make a backup copy of my Opera profile so your important settings like bookmarks and notes and everything are safe, and then make a clean install of Opera. You can search the forums and Opera support pages for guides to doing that. Often, a clean install solves weird problems.
- are you using an old version of Adobe Reader? I am using the latest version, 9.3.1. and there are no problems with PDFs in Opera. You should never use the old Reader versions anyway, because they have security holes that hackers are attacking all the time.
