This seems to be related to Opera's e-mail client, not the Opera Web Mail service. Such things should be posted in the mail forum further down on the main forum list.
I would also recommend that you specify which e-mail provider you are using, as that could be relevant. For example, I believe there are some problems with Gmail's IMAP implementation which could cause duplicates to appear. You should also try to think of things you did just before this started happening (such as upgrading Opera).

I just installed windows 7 and the last version of Opera, before I was also using Opera 10.51 on windows XP but everything was fine
you're right I use Gmail as email provider, if that's the only solution i'll switch it to POP3
I didn't know Opera provided email hosting services, i'll give it a try
